Confederation of Employers welcomes new leaders of working groups

New leaders for a number of working groups were confirmed at the Employers’ Confederation Council meeting on 19 March. We thank the current leaders of the working groups for their dedicated contribution and welcome the new leaders who will take forward important focus areas for employers.

Working group leaders:

  • Innovation Start-up – Ivo Suursoo continues (OIXIO Group OÜ)
  • Economic environment and taxes – continued by Ain Hanschmidt (AS Infortar)
  • Health – Marja-Liisa Alop (Meliva AS)
  • Labour market – Ain Käpp (Estonian Hotels and Restaurants Association)
  • Education – continued by Veljo Konnimois (Estonian Engineering Federation)
  • Environment and responsible business – Kai Realo (Ragn-Sells AS)
  • Energy (ad hoc working group) – Hando Sutter (Confederation of Estonian Employers)

We would like to thank Kadri Mägi-Lehts (Roche Estonia OÜ), who chaired the Health Working Group, Raul Puuseppa (Estonian Traders’ Association), who chaired the Labour Market Working Group, and Taavi Veskimägi (Estonian Defence and Aerospace Industries Association), who chaired the Environment and Responsible Business Working Group, for their pleasant cooperation – their work has contributed to the implementation of important changes in the Estonian business environment.

Confederation of Employers’ 8 focus themes for 2025

The mission of the Confederation of Estonian Employers is to contribute to the growth of the Estonian economy and to raise people’s living standards. To this end, the we will focus on eight themes in 2025 , which we invest time and energy in together with our members:

  • We stand for a competitive tax environment and a slim, limited bureaucracy.
    Raul Aron is the coordinator of the Working Group on the Economic Environment and Taxation (raul@employers.ee).
  • We help to ensure competitive final prices for electricity consumers.
    Raul Aron is the coordinator of the Energy Working Group (raul@employers.ee).
  • Contributing to getting people with the right skills into the labour market
    Piia Zimmermann is the coordinator of the Labour Market Task Force(piia@employers.ee).
  • We will ensure that the transition to a clean economy is based on realistic targets and supports the competitiveness of businesses
    The Environment and Responsible Business Group is coordinated by Kati Rostfeldt(kati@employers.ee).
  • We support the growth of added value for businesses
    Innovation Start-up House coordinator is Kati Rostfeldt(kati@employers.ee).
  • Standing up for an effective health system and more healthy years of life
    The coordinator of the Health Working Group is Piia Zimmermann(piia@employers.ee).
  • We are developing international cooperation to advocate for members’ interests
    The External Affairs Coordinator is Kristi Sõber(kristi@employers.ee).
  • Sharing best practices in leadership and standing up for good business reputation
    The coordinators of the themes are Evelyn Parv (evelyn@employers.ee) and Rivo Sarapik (rivo@employers.ee).
