Best Apprenticeships 2024: adding value to your work as an apprentice

“Offering internships gives an opportunity to integrate young people’s creativity and up-to-date knowledge of the field into the everyday life of the company,” says Pirkko Saar, HR Manager of Telia Eesti AS, which was awarded the title “Best Internship 2024”, and encourages company managers to bring more interns into their “inner circle”in the Education and Youth Board’s “Skills for the Future” .
Pirjo Falten, HR Manager of MyDello OÜ, which won the title of best small business apprenticeship in the same competition, believes that apprentices are a valuable resource for companies that should be used consciously. This is particularly clear at MyDello, where as many as 67% of their employees have started as trainees.
Evelyn Parv, who is in charge of the Best Apprenticeship 2024 competition , stresses that a well-organised apprenticeship is beneficial for all parties involved. For the company, it means a motivated succession of employees, and for the young person it means valuable work experience,” explains Parv.
Traineeships create value for both the young person and the company
In the podcast “Skills for the Future” of the Education and Youth Board, you will hear why thousands of trainees apply for an internship at Telia Eesti AS and how to match the trainee’s expectations and needs with the company’s daily work.
