Employers’ Hour: every hour saved by a company injects added value into Estonia

In the “Employers’ Hour” programme, we are joined by Martti Kuldma, Head of Omniva, Tiina Käsi, Head of Nordea Estonia and Kristjan Kukk, Member of the Board of Telia Estonia.

If the state becomes easier for business, every hour of entrepreneur’s time is an added value for Estonia, explains Martti Kuldma, head of Omniva, in the “Employers’ Hour” programme.

“This goes hand in hand with austerity – if there are fewer officials, fewer processes and fewer regulations, it’s a win-win situation. Cost savings for the state, cost savings for employers,” he adds.

While the three leaders in the programme praise the fresh government’s face to business, they remain cautious on the economic outlook despite two quarters of economic growth.

Why this is so, what businesses and the state can do to improve the competitiveness of Estonia, which has suffered in the current economic downturn, how to solve the deepening crisis of labour shortages and how to increase Estonia’s attractiveness in the eyes of investors, are the topics discussed by Tiina Käsi, Head of Nordea Estonia, Martti Kuldma, Head of Omniva and Kristjan Kukk, Member of the Board of Telia Estonia and Council Member of the Employers’ Confederation. The programme is moderated by Rivo Sarapik, Head of Communications at the Confederation of Employers.
