Our mission is to contribute to Estonia’s economic growth and improve the standard of living of its people.

Among the members of the Estonian Employers’ Confederation are all of the biggest industrial associations and most of the large businesses in the country which are well known and respected by the public. Both directly and through industry associations, we are the voice of over 2000 companies employing more than 250,000 people.

Business meeting: how to build confidence?

Although the state is investing heavily in increasing defence capabilities, the confidence of Estonian people and businesses is significantly lower than in the neighbouring region. That is why we are organising a business meeting on 24 April for members of the Confederation of Estonian Employers on the topic “How to increase confidence?” to discuss why this is the case and how to change it.

The Estonian Hotel and Restaurant Association is one of the founding members of the Employers’ Confederation. Our sector is highly labor-intensive, and it is important that the interests of both employees and employers are represented in a balanced way before lawmakers. The confederation has fulfilled this role with dignity. We value the union’s professional team, long-standing experience, and the continuous involvement of industry associations through working groups. We know that through the Employers’ Confederation, we are in a strong information network and can contribute to important matters in which politicians might otherwise act too independently without involving entrepreneurs.

Employers’ Hour: without foreign workers, some businesses would not exist

Although recruiting from abroad is more complicated, time-consuming and expensive than recruiting from Estonia, employers have to do it for different reasons. Risto Mäeots, Head of Magnetic MRO, Erkki Keldo, Estonian Minister of Economic Affairs and Industry, and Ain Käpp, Head of the Labour Market Working Group of the Confederation of Estonian Employers, take part in the programme.
